Professor Itamar Rabinowitz, having ended his role as President of Tel Aviv University in June 2007, is now chair of the Ettinger Institute of Contemporary  Middle Eastern History, at Tel Aviv University.    

Prof. Rabinowitz is associated with Harvard University, The Kennedy School of Government, with New York University and the Brookings Institute in Washington.

In the past Rabinowitz served as the Israeli Ambassador to Washington, and as head of the negotiations team with Syria. 

For a number of months now, he has been serving as chairman of the Dan David Fund.
