Aviv Tzidon
Aviv Tzidon, 50, Tel Aviv, divorced with four children, combat pilot, businessman. Upon his completion of his military service, Tzidon joined the Lavi project, where he became familiar with the defense industry. In 1987 he and Yaron Sheinman, an Air Force colleague, co-founded the BVR company, which develops simulation aerial projects. In 1998, the company was a part of a general group comprising eight companies. Tzidon, who has 20 registered patents to his name, was CEO and chairman of BVR Systems. A moment before the hi-tech bubble burst, Tzidon made his exit from the company and sold his shares to the Elishara company for $130 million. In 2006, Tzidon joined the judging panel on the television program "The Sharks," and, following numerous requests, founded The Spring Group, in order to deal with the various entrepreneurships in which he invested throughout the show. His hobbies include scuba diving, rock climbing, auto racing, and flying aerobatics planes. And another thing: Tzidon and his 14-year-old son set up a rock-climbing wall in Yarkon Park called "Olympus."
