Udi Savitzky (42), married + 2, an accountant and senior partner in a financial advisement company, BDO Consulting Group. Udi has accompanied over the last 15 years, hundreds of entrepreneurs and companies in the fields of hi-tech as well as traditional industries both in Israel and abroad. Over this 15 year period he has accompanied entrepreneurs from the first stage of the idea up to a successful stock issue in NASDAQ, London and Tel Aviv. "I believe that identifying a successful entrepreneur is both more important and difficult than identifying a successful initiative, and from experience I can say, just as smarter people than me have pointed out, the only place in which success ("Hatzlacha") appears before hard work ("Avoda Kasha") is only in the Even-Shoshan Dictionary." Over the years, Udi has been involved in accompanying all the phases of raising capital from private investors, risk capital funds and the wider public in the framework of public stock issues. Udi experienced the various phenomena of hype and the slippery slopes that the entrepreneurs had to cope with over the last ten years. Udi manages the sphere of merging and acquisitions and the banking aspect of the investments at BDO - and within this framework he is exposed to the range of considerations of wealthy people, investment funds and entrepreneurs. He is familiar with the Tel Aviv towers like the palm of his hand, and knows that the reality that is awaiting the entrepreneur and with which he will bump up, is in fact completely different from that described in the weekend newspapers… Udi lectures within the framework of academic institutions and at the various conferences on the topic of entrepreneurial procedures, raising capital and working correctly vis-à-vis investors both from Israel and abroad. The sea is a dominant feature in Udi's life. He served in the Israel navy as a naval officer on submarines, and his primary hobby is sailing catamarans. His accomplishments in the framework of this hobby have catapulted him to being Israeli champion in the years 1998 and 1999.
